If one were to turn their back on society, would they struggle?
If they no longer ‘needed’ the big house or fancy car like the guy on Instagram.
If they no longer ‘needed’ the win, or the championship trophy, or the prize money.
If they no longer ‘needed’ anything…
Would they struggle?
Society has romanticised the idea of struggle.
Everything ‘takes time’.
Everything requires hard work.
Everything is about the ‘journey’ and the ‘process’.
But do we struggle because life is hard, or because we buy into the belief that it must be?
Yes, money is required to live in this world, no doubt.
But do we struggle to make money because it is hard to make, or because we always want more of it?
Do we struggle to make money because it is hard to make, or because we do not understand how it is truly made?
Imagine, for a moment, that a person turned their back on society, shut out all the noise, and worked out what they truly wanted.
What they wanted to do with their life.
What craft they wanted to master.
What inspiration they wanted to follow.
What lifestyle they wanted to live.
Not the one society tells them they ‘should’ want.
But the one they TRULY want, deep within their soul.
Would this person struggle?
Or would they LIVE their entire life?
If they mastered a craft, which brought value to the world, would money not flow effortlessly?
Not because they did it to make money, but as a by-product of their mastery, they could provide more value in that domain than anyone else?
If they understood the power of leverage, and systems, would money not flow effortlessly?
Not because they did it to make money, but as a by-product of their understanding and use of this power?
If they understood exactly how much they wanted, to live the life they wanted to live, & continue pursuing their craft, would they not be satisfied every day?
Not because of the money they made, but as a by-product of the freedom from ‘needing’ more?
Humans struggle, not because life is difficult, but because they do not know what they want.
Because they do not know what they want, society gives them the answer.
And the answer is always…
More.
